K. Douglas Walker
K. Douglas “Doug” Walker grew up in Fernandina Beach, Florida. Mr. Walker graduated from the University of Florida in 2007 with a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Telecommunications. After working at Merrill Lynch (Jacksonville, FL) for two years, Mr. Walker attended law school at Florida International University in Miami, Florida.
While in law school, Mr. Walker served as the Editor-in-Chief of the FIU Law Review, was a member of the FIU Board of Advocates (Moot Court) Jessup Competition team, served as the Chief Justice of the Student Bar Association Judicial Committee, and was the recipient of the FIU College of Law Pro-Bono Service Award. In 2012, Mr. Walker graduated cum laude from FIU College of Law, receiving book awards in Evidence, as well as Trial Advocacy.
Upon graduating from law school and becoming a member of the Florida Bar, Mr. Walker clerked for the Honorable Mark E. Polen at Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeal in West Palm Beach, Florida. When the Honorable Judge Polen retired in 2013, Mr. Walker continued at the Fourth DCA as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Alan O. Forst. Mr. Walker left the Fourth DCA in August of 2014 to become an Assistant Public Defender in Florida’s Ninth Judicial Circuit, serving Orange and Osceola Counties. As an Assistant Public Defender for over two-and-a-half years, Mr. Walker represented hundreds of indigent clients, and was counsel in numerous jury trials. He joined Bradford Cederberg in March 2017.
Mr. Walker is a devoted Jacksonville Jaguars fan and season ticket holder. Aside from the Jaguars, he enjoys fishing, golfing, and enjoying time outdoors. He and his fiancé live in Orlando, Florida, and have an English Bulldog named Maggie.
